Painting the Silver Ticket In-Wall and In-Ceiling Speaker Grill and Frame
Introduction
Follow this guide to paint your Silver Ticket in-wall or in-ceiling recessed speaker to match your decor.- Time Required: 4-6 hours

- 1 x Speaker Grill Removal Tool (included)
- 1 x Piece of Plywood or Cardboard* Larger than the speaker grill (not included)

Steps
1. Preparation
1. Choose a well-ventilated area where the painting take place.
Warning: It is not recommended to paint the speaker grill with a brush, this may cause the holes in the grill to become plugged and obstruct sound transmission. If the holes do become plugged with paint, use a paint thinner to remove the paint from the grill and try these steps again.
2. Prepare the Speaker Grill
1. Remove the speaker grill using the speaker grill removal tool.
2. Remove the dust cloth from the back of the speaker grill.
3. Place the speaker grill face-up on scrap cardboard or plywood.
Tip: Tape the inside of the speaker grill to catch any paint over-spray. The tape can then be removed after the paint is fully dry.
3. Paint the Speaker Grill
1. Hold the spray paint can at least 8" away from the speaker grill and apply a light, even coat of paint.
Tip: Several light coats of paint will look yield better results than one thick coat of paint.
4. Apply Additional Paint Coats
1. Apply additonal paint coats until the desired appearance is achieved. Wait at least 30 minutes between coat applications.
2. Once the final coat is applied, allow the speaker grill to fully dry for at least three or four hours.
5. Finishing Up
1. Once the speaker grill is fully dry and has the desired appearance, place the grill back on the speaker.
